Meadow Grange logs are produced by our own professional wood cutters. This gives us a great depth of knowledge within the field of log sales. We cut the wood, dry the wood and then bag it for sale. The team are involved with the whole process from start to finish which gives us at Meadow Grange logs the confidence to sell quality dry firewood at great prices.
Our air dried logs are cut in a large barn with plenty of air circulating around them to continue the drying process, heat from our Kilns also blow and circulate around the barns speeding up the drying process even more. The logs are then bagged into bulk bags or nets and stored in the barn ready for delivery keeping them dry throughout the whole process.
Meadow Grange Kiln Dried Logs
Our Kiln dried logs are seasoned wood which is cut into 10” pieces and put into large steel containers, these containers are then placed into two large kiln dryers which are powered by wood to start the drying process. The wood will stay in the dryers until the moisture content has dropped to 20% moisture content. logs which are below 20% moisture content are where the government are looking at suppliers to be selling Kiln dried wood at. We test our wood with moisture meters regularly to monitor the quality of our wood.
